Ayesha Nawab, DMD, MD, FACS
Dr. Ayesha Nawab joined Mid-Maryland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery after moving to Maryland to be with her husband. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from Harvard University in 2001. She then trained at the University of Connecticut, where she received her Medical Degree and specialty certificates in General Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2008. Dr. Nawab moved to be an Associate Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas in Houston. She also served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Ben Taub Hospital until 2011.
Dr. Nawab is Board Certified and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, the Maryland Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Frederick County Dental Society. She is also a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. Although Dr. Nawab practices a broad spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgery, she holds particular interest in third molar surgery, implants, bone grafting and oral pathology. Dr. Nawab is on staff at Frederick Health Hospital where she operates and sees patients in the emergency room when needed.
In her spare time, Dr. Nawab and her husband like to cook, travel, swim and play with their children.
